Even though your garden is dormant and not in it’s active season, there are projects that should be done in the winter time. One of them is pruning your trees. WRG spends a good deal of time pruning and shaping trees in the winter for a few different reasons.
• The sap of the tree is not flowing and thus the cut from pruning will not “bleed” sap
• No diseases or insects are active to get into the wound from pruning
• The buds have not leafed out yet thus allowing for easy visibility of branches
• The tree can recuperate from the limb removal easier in the early spring time than any other season
• The cost of pruning is less due to not having the weight of leaves to deal with
WRG is specialized especially in fruit and ornamental tree pruning. Due to WRG being a specialized business, we do not trim or prune larger shade trees.
